Journey through Warmia & Mazury - M1key - Michal Huniewicz

Journey through Warmia & Mazury by Michal Huniewicz

Below, a bunch of my architectural drawings.

Inspired by the 2023 Day of the Dead photography trip, but I also included one building that no longer exists.

With thanks to Mr Przemysław Kisielewski and Morąg Library for providing photo references.

Warmia & Mazury

Ratusz w Pasłęku

Ratusz w Pasłęku
Pasłęk town hall — a half-mediaeval, half-renaissance building destroyed in the second world war, rebuilt between 1959-1961. [1]

Kościół Świętych Szymona i Judy Tadeusza Apostołów w Dywitach

Kościół Świętych Szymona i Judy Tadeusza Apostołów w Dywitach
This stunning church towers over a village known as Dywity. The four lower levels are an older structure reused in the late 19th century construction we can see today. [2]

Dobrocin 52

Dobrocin 52
This is the building I grew up in. I photographed it earlier.

Ratusz w Ornecie

Ratusz w Ornecie
Apparently, the only Gothic town hall in Warmia stands in Orneta. [3] I took a few photos in Orneta during my trip a couple of years back.

Bazylika konkatedralna św. Jakuba w Olsztynie

Bazylika konkatedralna św. Jakuba w Olsztynie
The 14th century basilica in Olsztyn. [4]

Dom towarowy >Rolnik< w Morągu

Dom towarowy >Rolnik< w Morągu
The grand, no longer extant shopping centre called "Rolnik" (literally the farmer) that once stood in Morąg — I vaguely recall shopping there, dipping my hands in containers full of tiny nails.

Esoteric Dobrocin

And finally, a more whimsical image of the Dobrocin palace.
