Arizona 2010 Photography - M1key - Michal Huniewicz
Welcome to Arizona! The desert state, but there are also pine forests and mountains. I found it more interesting that Chicago
and Las Vegas. Official neckwear, you ask? Bola tie!
Please enjoy the pictures.
Bell Rock
Bell Rock
This is Bell Rock in an interesting view-wise city of Sedona. There is a legend that says that Walt Disney
got some of his ideas for characters right there, in Sedona, when looking at various rock formations.
Clouds
Clouds
This is a typical Arizona sight. This place is located between Peach Springs and Seligman, on Route 66.
Mailbox
Mailbox
I found this cute mailbox in Sedona.
Road
Road
This is on the road 89 to Page. Not a single roadkill in sight! There were very few there, actually,
we only saw a couple rodents muertos.
Road
Road
Good Arizona roads make it easy to carry goods - however in the past camels were used instead of trucks.
Even now - you are legally not allowed to hunt camels (I haven't seen any).

On our way to Page. The road was separated from the land with that fence - rather annoying.
Maybe it is to protect wildlife and plants? For cutting down a cactus you can end up in jail for... 25 years!
Gas station, Route 66
Gas station, Route 66
This is an old gas station on Route 66. They even had a "Caution - Rattlesnakes" sign.
Arizona Ridge-Nosed Rattlesnake is the State Reptile.
Dog
Dog
One of at least two dogs to sleep shamelessly on duty in that store on Route 66.

Once again, I forgot my sunscreen. Tara had one and I did not turn into this.
Junk
Junk
U.S. Route 66 does not officially exist anymore, it was replaced by the Interstate Highway System in 1985.
Here, a junk yard - the cars were on sale though.
Money
Money
Banknotes left by visitors. Note Mieszko I of Poland on top of clearly upset Khomeini.
Porch
Porch
Today this part of the former U.S. Route 66 is known as Historic Route 66, but to many it remains the
Mother Road.
Store
Store
Inside the store. Did you know that... in Tombstone it is illegal for men
and women over the age of 18 to have less than one missing tooth visible when smiling?
Wall
Wall
An old rusty wall.

Countless stickers left by Route 66 visitors.

More sights. Did you know that... in Arizona it is unlawful to refuse a person a glass of water?
Fire
Fire
The pine forest was on fire as we passed by.
Fire
Fire
There was a lot of smoke and some firefighters. We could see the smoke from very far.

Did you know that... an ordinance prohibits the wearing of suspenders in Nogales, Arizona?

Did you know that... one must be 18 years old to buy spray paint in Tempe, Arizona?

There are many spots like that in Arizona. It's one of the most amazing places
I have seen.
Tara
Tara
Tara in the Bell Rock area. Some people say you feel an electrical charge when hiking there.
I did not experience that.
