Canyons 2010 Photography - M1key - Michal Huniewicz
These are pictures of the Grand Canyon and the Antelope Canyon.
I have seen many impressive places in my life. In most cases they look nothing like they do
in pictures. They look plain and disappointing. But with the Grand Canyon it's the opposite.
The pictures can't show the beauty of that place - it is literally the most impressive thing
I have ever seen.
Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is 446km long, up to 29km wide. Its depth is up to 1.83km.

As you look down, you see 2 billion years of history. This is how old the lowest layers are.
The top parts of it are only 230 million years old.

Grand Canyon
The South Rim (the Southern part of the canyon) area is not a desert.
There are pine forests, moss and fungi. The Grand Canyon area is also
home to many animals, including birds, rodents, and a combination of both
- bats.

It was created by water that caused erosion. That's why it's so smooth.

"the place where water runs through rocks".

It turns out that in order to have beams of light shining inside the canyon
you must go there not only at the right day time, but also between March 15 and October 7.
Anyhow, I was a bit too late.
After the canyon we went to a Mexican restaurant for some spicy food.
